What is your favourite Kata and why ?
When I first chose NIJUSHIHO as "my" Kata, I was reasonably good at kicking.
As this is the only Kata with two Yoko Geri Kekomi (Side Thrust Kick), it immediately appealed to me.
Also, it was a Kata that no one else in the club seemed to favour, so Nijushiho stood out for me.
It's funny how certain Kata become "connected" to certain people.
Gankaku was Sensei Bernie Rose's Kata.
Kanku Sho was Sensei Rory McQueen's Kata.
Chinte was Sensei Sheila Birkett's Kata.
Jitte is Sensei Paul Wharton's Kata.
They are just some of the peole off the top of my head.
